A junior golfer is anyone between the ages of 8 and 17 who has successful
ly completed a Hobbit's Glen or Fairway Hills clinic or instructional series. Juniors who have not completed the junior camp or instructional program should contact a member of the professional staff to determine eligibility.
The Columbia Association's program provides juniors with a golf education that is fun, comprehensive and well-supervised. Instruction is provided by our P.G.A. assistant professionals. Columbia Association also works with the state and local amateur associations and the Mid-Atlantic P.G.A. in organizing and promoting junior golf.
Junior Clinic
A perfect start to a game for a lifetime, with beginner instruction for the junior golfer. Class begins with the basics and moves into a full swing. After mastering the full swing, students will continue learning the basics of the short game including chipping, pitching, sand play and putting.

Junior League
Designed for junior golfers of all skill levels who have completed a basic beginning golf class and want to play in an organized league. Proper conduct and doing your best will be stressed to ensure a positive competitive experience. League includes clinics with topics including playing "ready golf," etiquette,
basic rules, course management and more.
Sessions:
- Monday, 9am; June 16 through August 18
- There are nine Monday play dates with the Fairway Hills Junior Club Championship being the last play date.
- Members $50 / Non-Members $70
- Plus Junior Rates $6 for 9 Holes
Junior Certification Program
Designed for junior golfers 5 to 7 years old. Completion of this program will allow certified juniors to play golf with a paying parent at Fairway Hills on certain days/times. One hour class on five consecutive Saturdays.

First Tee of Howard County
The First Tee is a World Golf Foundation initiative dedicated to the creation of new facilities and access to golf, which places a special emphasis on kids who otherwise may not have an opportunity to experience the game.
